Rollerchairball superstars are often highly successful in more than one career. One such player is sixth-rated Brianna Stout, who spends her daytime hours teaching English to high school students in Ohio. To promote literacy and rollerchairball, Stout has teamed with the National League of Rollerchairball to sponsor a writing contest in her classes.

Stout tasked students with drafting a story similar to those seen in Rollerchairball Quarterly, the magazine which covers the absurd personal lives of rollerchairball players. The article that best accomplishes the RQ style will win a spot on rollerchairball.org, published in Rollerchairball Quarterly.

NLR commissioner Kyle Stout will serve as judge of the event, but he will solicit opinions from other league staff. He loves the contest, noting “This idea matches the three greatest things in the world: rollerchairball, writing, and being outrageous. I can think of no skill that will make a person successful in life than excellent writing skills. And what better muse than rollerchairball? We’re absolutely thrilled to coordinate with Miss Stout and her high school students. I look forward to reading submissions.”

Articles will be judged on the excellence of their ideas/plots, humor, writing style, and grammar. Extra points will be granted to articles that somehow convince Andrew Wood to resume playing.
