NLR Creates Licking Valley Division
The National League of Rollerchairball held an exhibition in Newark, OH, last weekend and, based on the talent flowing from Licking Valley, has added another division to its roster. New players from Licking Valley took to the game easily and displayed raw, natural talent.
League Commissioner Kyle Stout quipped, “The players from Licking Valley were eager to learn. Their potential is great, but their skills are unpolished. At the National League of Rollerchairball, we crave this situation. The best players emerge from the groups who think they will be king when they step on the court, discover they have far to go, yet yearn to reach their pinnacles. We think Licking Valley can produce greatness for decades to come.”
Several teams and players emerged as forerunners of the Licking Valley Division. In particular, Salted Pickles – Matt Bates and Devon John – and IDR Brotherhood – Brock Mitchell and Jason Holman – proved adept on the court from their first kickoff. Bates even took upon himself to challenge The Lone Ranger, alongside league veteran Brianna Stout. Though the duo lost the game 20-17.5, Bates showed he has the ability and the bravery to rise quickly in the league. Look for these players to make noise at future NLR tourneys.
